The book provides a clear road map, which the author combines with practical advice that can effectively enhance communication between healthcare professionals and patients.
Dispositionalism in Musculoskeletal Care carefully examines and provides the connection between physical symptoms and mental health. Unlike other works about chronic pain and its remedies, this book looks at ways combining physical and psychological factors in patient care can be an effective remedy. Dispositionalism is a concept that differs from the common models that view the individual as a whole, this method analyzes the condition of a human by separating every causality to understand what is actually happening to the patient, because usually, it is not just one thing, it's a combination of conditions that ills the human body and mind.
It was an interesting approach; as a physical education teacher I have a basic understanding of musculoskeletal care, and I think this book expanded my knowledge and gave me tools and ideas to implement. Nevertheless, I think this book is advanced and should be read by people in the healthcare business; it is definitely technical.
